Head of Sanctions Desk at ION

Ralitsa Trifonova has a master’s degree in international relations with a major specialisation on Iran and the Arab countries. She has 9 years of experience in intelligence gathering for the compliance industry. Ralitsa has worked as a non-resident fellow at the Center for Iranian Studies (İRAM), Türkiye, where she authoured a series of articles on Iran’s methods to evade international sanctions and a research paper on the consequences of Iran’s sanctions for European companies. She is currently the Head of Sanctions Desk at ION.
